The Uniweld NV1 NitroVue Nitrogen Flow Indicator streamlines the nitrogen purging process. Featuring an easy-to-read flow indicator label and a precision-adjustable valve, it provides precise control over low nitrogen gas flow, essential for brazing copper tubing in Air Conditioning and Refrigeration systems.

The device’s bright orange float ball offers a clear visual confirmation of nitrogen gas flow. Technicians can use it to initially "Purge" the copper lines at a rate exceeding 20 SCFH and then reduce the flow to 3-5 SCFH to "Braze" during the brazing process. This adjustment helps conserve nitrogen and lowers operating costs.

Continuous nitrogen flow is crucial for displacing oxygen within the tubing, thereby preventing internal oxidation and scale formation. Scale build-up can cause blockages in the TXV and within the Air Conditioning and Refrigeration systems, potentially leading to premature failures.

If the orange float ball does not rise, it indicates that there is no nitrogen flow, only static pressure, and that oxygen is not being displaced. To ensure proper operation, the NV1 must be connected to a Nitrogen Regulator with a delivery pressure set at 60 psi to manage nitrogen gas pressure. Additionally, the NV1 is safeguarded against over-pressure with a reseatable safety blow-off valve that activates at 200 psi.
